Chrome has just released a new in-browser activity called BuildWithChrome. It allows you to browse maps of Australia and New Zealand, claim a plot of land, and build a lego structure on it.

I did what any self-respecting nerd would do – staked a claim and built an 8 bit video game character into the landscape.
The interface allows you to choose from a variety of lego bricks in plenty of colours. Go to www.buildwithchrome.com to check out other people’s creations and maybe even build your own. I tried this on Firefox, Safari and Chrome. Chrome did perform the best for this particular activity.
