tubalr – Bodacious Video Curation

'Tubular' is a term I tend to associate with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but it turns out tubalr is also an awesome web service for compiling and sharing YouTube videos. I came across this tool several months ago, and have been using it as a kind of online jukebox ever since.  I had been typing a musician's name into the search box and listening to whatever YouTube videos came up.  After [...]

Wix – just another website builder?

I'm sure if you surfed the web for 'website creation/builders', Google would spit back millions of hits and an endless supply of possibilities. Wix, however, popped up on my FaceBook feed a few days ago and I thought it would be worth sharing. Murally logs each user's contributions, and even allows space for a little chat window. This could have some interesting uses in the classroom, but also has potential for teachers to collaborate with each other. Murally is a free resource, and given it is relatively new, could become a powerful addition [...]

Tree of Life – OneZoom

Data Visualisation at it's best. Here is a great little project to follow, with their first product called 'Tree of Life'. This website allows you to explore the tree of life in a completely new way: it's like a map, everything is on one page, all you have to do is zoom in and out. Enjoy!
